Nigerian legend, Nwankwo Kanu, on Saturday night, celebrated with Super Eagles players in the dressing room following their AFCON third-place playoff victory against Egypt.
#Muktv reports that goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali was the hero for Nigeria as he saved two penalties to ensure Nigeria defeated the Pharaohs 4-2.
The third-place playoff game had ended in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.
The likes of Alex Iwobi, Lookman Ademola, Moses Simon and Akor Adams all converted their penalties.
Stanley Nwabali saved both Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush’s penalty kicks, while Fisayo Dele-Bashiru also missed his penalty kick.
However, Kanu, who was at the Stadium in Casablanca, joined Eric Chelle’s men in the dressing singing and dancing.
The former Arsenal forward posted a video of himself and Super Eagles players celebrating after beating Egypt.
Kanu posted the video with the caption: “KAN U BELIEVE it? Bronze Energy. The Nigerian spirit can never be broken.
Congratulations Super Eagles. AFCON 2025.”
