The Federal High Court in Abuja has affirmed the Nenadi Usman–led caretaker committee as the authentic leadership of the Labour Party and directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize the committee as such.
Delivering judgment on Wednesday, Justice [insert judge’s name if available] ruled that the caretaker committee led by former minister Nenadi Usman lawfully assumed leadership of the party following the dissolution of the previous executive. The court held that any other faction claiming authority over the party’s affairs lacked legal standing.
