A former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Chief Uchechukwu Ogah, has said Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, deserves a second term in office.
Ogah stated this on Tuesday in an interview with journalists after a closed-door meeting with the governor at his country home in Nvosi, Isialangwa South Local Government Area of the state.
He said his visit was to convey New Year greetings to the governor, adding that residents of the state were pleased with Otti’s performance so far.
“I think he deserves a second term. I’ve said it times without number. It’s not something arguable anywhere. I’ve said it times without number, that God has used him to wipe away the tears of the Abia people.
And this is just a few years of governance that people can see the positive results coming from his effort. So Abians are grateful. Abians are happy.
“He (Gov. Otti) should have the opportunity to govern us a second time, so that he can put out there all that he has planned for Abia people.
