Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has revealed that him and late South African rapper, AKA resolved their feud before his death.
The duo fell apart in 2019 after Burna Boy threatened to “deal” with AKA if they ever met.
This came after the South African rapper reportedly encouraged xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South African after sharing screenshots of hate messages he allegedly received from Nigerian accounts over AFCON quarterfinal match banter.
Burna Boy has now revealed that they quashed their beef before the rapper passed on.
In a posthumous birthday message to the late rapper via his Instagram page, Burna Boy, however, regretted that AKA passed away before they could execute some of their plans and collaborations.
Burna Boy wrote, “Happy birthday Supa Mega. We fell out over bullsh*t even though we squashed it over Twitter DMs nobody knew about, we never got the chance to really link up and do what we were supposed to do. I will regret that until I see you again. Until then, R.I.P Mega.”
#Muktv recalls that AKA was shot dead by a gunman outside a restaurant in Durban on 10 February, 2023.
The trial into his murder is still ongoing.
