As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to meet former U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington this week, Israel’s firm stance on the ongoing Iran nuclear talks in Oman has come to light.

Israeli officials have reportedly outlined a series of uncompromising demands regarding Iran’s nuclear program. Jerusalem is insisting on a complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, calling for zero uranium enrichment, the removal of all enriched material, and the establishment of a comprehensive international inspection regime to enforce compliance.

In addition to nuclear restrictions, Israel wants severe limits on Iran’s ballistic missile program capping missile ranges at 300 kilometers as well as a clause requiring Tehran to halt support for regional proxy groups. These conditions, Israeli sources say, are necessary to ensure that Iran’s military ambitions and regional influence are decisively curtailed.

Netanyahu’s expected discussions with Trump are anticipated to focus on aligning U.S. and Israeli positions before the Oman negotiations advance further. Analysts suggest that Israel’s rigid demands could heighten tensions among Western allies seeking a more diplomatic compromise with Tehran.
