Access Bank Plc has paid tribute to its former Group Managing Director, Dr. Herbert Wigwe, two years after his passing, while also remembering his wife, Doreen, and their son, Chizi.

In a statement obtained from Access Bank’s X handle on Monday, the bank said, “Wigwe’s legacy lives on in the values the institution upholds, the standards it protects, and the future it continues to build. His influence is still evident in the culture of excellence that remains at the core of the bank’s operations.

“Two years on, the absence of Dr. Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe remains deeply felt.

“Wigwe’s absence remains deeply felt across the organisation and the wider financial community.

“A visionary leader, he shaped Access with courage, clarity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His legacy lives on in the values we uphold, the standards we protect, and the future we continue to build,” the bank added.
