Popular skitmaker Ziczaloma has set social media ablaze with a hard-hitting message on money, family, and survival, warning that escaping poverty may require cutting financial ties, even with close relatives.
In a viral video clip, the entertainer declared that anyone serious about breaking free from hardship must be ready to make tough, unpopular choices.
“if you know you want to come out of p%verty, you need to be financially heartless even to your direct family”.
Ziczaloma insisted the advice is not about wickedness but about refusing to remain trapped in a cycle of dependency. He revealed that his own early business efforts repeatedly collapsed because of family pressure.
“I did a lot of business while growing up but most of them failed because of family,” he said.
The skitmaker went further, accusing African family structures of placing heavy and often unfair expectations on individuals who are trying to build wealth.
“African family and even your own family are very entitled to your wealth. Even when the purpose of working is to save money and build a better future”.
Driving the message home, Ziczaloma urged people to prioritise saving and long-term stability over emotional blackmail, even if it costs them relationships.
“It is very very okay to be financially heartless even to your friends and family so thatyou can even save up and break that circle. They will h@te you for it but trust me it is for your own good.” He concluded.
The blunt advice has divided opinions online, with supporters applauding his honesty while critics argue that family responsibility should not be sacrificed on the altar of wealth.
