At the beginning of the season, after playing the full 90 minutes against Torino, Cristian Chivu benched Benjamin Pavard against Udinese.
This decision wasn’t well-received by Pavard’s entourage, who reportedly contacted #Inter management DURING the match to voice their discontent.
This phone-call had a ‘disastrous outcome’, and led to the club showing Pavard the door immediately and simultaneously closing a deal to sign Manuel Akanji.
Now, neither Olympique Marseille fans NOR the club are happy with Pavard’s performances. A few months ago, #Inter had already received some phone-calls from Marseille asking to potentially lower the €15M option to buy in their loan deal.
This price may not even be a question anymore and since there is no obligation to buy, Marseille may very well choose not to take up their option to purchase Pavard permanently.
Inter has ALREADY decided that Pavard will NOT wear the Nerazzurri jersey again, and this is an issue for the club since they loaned out Pavard with the idea in mind that the defender would not return.
