Real Madrid have officially confirmed that they have reached an agreement with UEFA and the European Football Clubs (EFC), marking the end of the long-running European Super League dispute.

In a joint statement released on Wednesday, UEFA, the European Football Clubs (EFC), and Real Madrid C.F. announced that they have reached an agreement in principle “for the good of European club football.” The parties emphasized that the deal was achieved after months of constructive dialogue aimed at ensuring the sustainability of European football.

The agreement reaffirms the importance of sporting merit, long-term financial stability for clubs, and an improved fan experience supported by technological innovation. Once finalized, the deal will also bring an end to the legal battles that stemmed from the controversial European Super League project, which Real Madrid had long defended as one of its founding members.

The statement concluded that the agreement represents a new chapter in European football governance, focused on cooperation rather than conflict. UEFA is expected to release further details on the implementation of the final agreement in the coming weeks.
