Ahead of the 2027 elections, key executives of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Aba South and Aba North Local Government Areas of Abia State  have resigned their party membership with immediate effect, an indication that the party structures may have collapsed in the Enyimba city.

The announcement, made through official statements, confirmed that top local officials, including chairmen, secretaries, and youth and women leaders, have all stepped down from their roles.

Among those who resigned in Aba South LGA are, Hon. Chinagorom Nwanyuanwu, APGA Chairman; Mrs. Grace Eke A, APGA Secretary; Mrs. Micheal Ada, APGA Woman Leader; Mr. Azubuike Ekemezie, APGA Youth Leader

In Aba North LGA, the departures include, Hon. Victor Urum, APGA Chairman; Hon. Okoro Chima Peter, APGA Secretary; Mrs. Juliana Duruaku, APGA Woman Leader; Hon. Edwin Ehuchie, Bongos, APGA Youth Leader

In a joint statement, the officials expressed their gratitude to APGA, saying, “We thank the party for the opportunity to serve and remain forever grateful.”
