Nigerian billionaire industrialist, Chief Razaq Okoya, has opened up on his succession plans, revealing that his younger children will take over the reins of his business empire. The founder of the **Eleganza Group** said the decision stems from his desire to safeguard the future of his legacy and avoid mistakes made in the past.

According to Okoya, he is deliberately training his younger children to manage the group’s operations and sustain its success long-term.

“I want to pass everything to my younger children because I don’t want them to fail like the senior ones,” he said, reflecting on lessons learned from earlier experiences.

The industrialist emphasized that hands-on experience is key to effective leadership, highlighting attributes such as focus, honesty, determination, and punctuality as vital to success.

He also revealed that his children are being gradually introduced to the company’s operations—from management meetings to factory visits—to gain firsthand knowledge of how the business functions.

Okoya, who shares his younger children with his wife, Shade Okoya, explained that his succession plan is structured to ensure a seamless transition of leadership. He noted that while others may inherit ready-made systems, his children must learn the hard work and discipline required to build and maintain a thriving business empire.
