The federal government has arraigned arraigned Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mike Ozekhome and Ponfa Useni, son of the late FCT Minister Jeremiah Useni, over allegations of using a forged Nigerian passport in a UK property dispute.

The duo faced a 12-count charge before Justice Chizoba Oji at the FCT High Court in Maitama, where both pleaded not guilty to all allegations.

After their pleas, lawyers Tayo Oyetibo for Ozekhome and F. R. Onoja for Useni applied for bail, and the prosecution, led by Rotimi Oyedepo, surprisingly raised no objection.

Justice Oji granted each defendant N10 million bail with a surety of equal value, insisting that the sureties must own property within the FCT. The court also ordered that both defendants deposit their international passports.
