Popular media personality Chude Jideonwo has set social media buzzing after claiming that Lagos is home to many married gay individuals.
The comment came as he addressed rumours about his s+xuality following a recent interview he granted to TVC.
Speaking in a snippet from his appearance on The Clarity Zone Podcast, Chude brushed off the speculation while making a striking claim about relationships in Nigeria’s commercial capital.
“When the TVC interview came out, people were saying maybe I’m gay. I’m like Lagos is full of married gay people.”
During the podcast, Chude also raised alarm over what he described as the growing trend of ritual advertisements on social media platforms, particularly TikTok.
According to him, some individuals openly promote ritual practices online and even interact with potential clients during live sessions.
“Abi them say people are advertising rituals on TikTok. Ritual is advertised on TikTok. Native medicine, I have seen three people advertising, and people were engaging. One of the women was live from her shrine. And people were like, ‘Mama, how can I reach you?’ with a phone number,” he explained.
His comments have since triggered reactions online, with many Nigerians debating both his claim about married gay individuals in Lagos and his concerns about controversial content circulating on social media.
