Enyimba have granted supporters free entry for their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 30 encounter against Plateau United on Sunday as the club welcomes fans back to the stands following a three-match sanction that forced them to play home fixtures behind closed doors.
In a statement made available on Saturday, the Aba club confirmed that supporters would be allowed into the stadium without charge for the crucial league fixture scheduled to take place at the Enyimba International Stadium.
“Enyimba Football club of Aba versus Plateau United FC game tomorrow (Sunday) in Aba has been thrown open to the fans as free gate, after their last three home games were played behind closed doors,” the statement read.
The club said the decision was taken as part of efforts to rally supporters behind the team during a challenging period in the league campaign, urging fans to turn out in large numbers and back the side.
“The Aba Elephants are determined to ensure that the team stays afloat in the NPFL, and have called on the fans to come to the Aba stadium and give them their one hundred per cent support,” the statement added.
