Nigerian sprint sensation and World Championship finalist, Ajayi Kanyinsola has won the NCAA 60m Indoor title with an African Record of 6.45s, a Personal Best for him.
The event was NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships and Ajayi’s performance equals the African Record he attained two weeks ago and also stands as a Meeting Record.
Ajayi held off Jelani Watkins, who finished second in 6.48s, while Kalen Walker claimed bronze.
Fellow Nigerian Sunday Israel Okon, who had clocked a PB of 6.48s in the heats a day earlier, placed 5th in the highly competitive final with 6.57s.
