After days of silence, media personality and philanthropist, Mitchell Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, took to her Instagram page on March 11, 2026, to apologise to people she had wronged, and share a detailed video showing the completion of her recent project — a renovated school in Delta State.
The project had earlier sparked controversy between her and controversial social media activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
In the video, Mitchy showed the before, during and after stages of the renovation, including the classrooms, toilets, borehole and taps.
In a subsequent post, she tendered an apology to those she felt she had wronged during the controversy weeks earlier. In the apology video, she began by expressing regret over taking bleach in an apparent suicide attempt during a livestreamed video, and apologised to those who look up to her as a role model.
She also apologised to President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, whom she described as a constant supporter of her and her foundation.
Addressing him in the video, she said, “My boss, ST, I’m so sorry. I know I apologised privately, but I did not disrespect you privately; I disrespected you publicly, so I want to apologise publicly. I’m so sorry, sir, and I want you to know that I’ve never taken your support for granted and I will never take your support for granted.”
Mitchy also apologised to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, whom she involved in the controversy after a private conversation.
