A suspected bandit who allegedly flaunted kidnapping operations and ransom cash during TikTok livestreams has been arrested by security operatives.
The suspect, popularly known online as Sule Yellow, became a viral sensation after appearing in a livestream on March 4 where he allegedly bragged about kidnapping activities.
During the broadcast, he appeared alongside another suspected bandit, Auta, and other gang members. The group reportedly discussed their operations and openly boasted about abducting victims for ransom.
But the social media fame did not last long.
In a video now circulating on X, Sule Yellow is seen in handcuffs and surrounded by soldiers as they interrogate him about weapons believed to belong to his gang.
The footage also shows security operatives displaying a polythene bag suspected to contain ransom money allegedly recovered from a recent kidnapping linked to the group.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement detailing how the suspected bandit was tracked and arrested.
His arrest comes as security forces intensify operations against bandit groups responsible for repeated attacks on communities and rising kidnapping-for-ransom cases across the country.
Meanwhile, in a related crackdown, the Ondo State Police Command on Monday arrested four individuals suspected of supplying logistics to kidnappers.
According to the police spokesperson, the suspects have already begun cooperating with investigators.
He said the arrested kidnappers’ logistic suppliers have made “useful confessional statements that are currently aiding ongoing investigations”.
