Ndi Igbo Amaka Progressive Market Association in Lagos has signed a memorandum of understanding adopting United Nigeria Airlines as its official carrier and airline partner.
The airline, in a statement, said the agreement was signed by the association’s president, Chinedu Ukatu and UNA’s managing director, Osita Okonkwo, on Wednesday in Lagos.
According to the airline’s management, the partnership will unlock a range of travel benefits for members, their families, customers, and business associates, including discounted fares, lounge access, and priority services.
The airline disclosed that it kicked off the partnership with an exclusive offer of 50 tickets at a rebated fare of ₦80,000 for association members across its domestic network.
Mr Okonkwo, in the statement, said the move reinforced the airline’s commitment to Nigeria’s trading community, targeting over 10 million traders with exclusive travel benefits.
“This partnership is about making travel easier, faster, and more rewarding for traders and their customers,” he said.
Mr Ukatu described the deal as a strategic milestone, noting that United Nigeria Airlines’ longstanding relationship with the association and the chairman and founder, Obiora Okonkwo’s role as grand patron.
He said the collaboration would significantly improve travel convenience for traders operating within Lagos’ vast commercial ecosystem, which connected over 10 million traders nationwide.
He added that the airline’s strong safety record and consistent service delivery made it a clear choice for the association.
