Moniepoint Group has acquired ORDA, a cloud-based restaurant management platform, in a strategic move to deepen its integration of payments into the daily operations of merchants across Africa.

Following the acquisition, ORDA will be rebranded as Moniebook for Restaurants and fully integrated into Moniebook, Moniepoint’s existing business management platform. The move is designed to give restaurant owners a unified platform for managing orders, inventory, staff, and payments seamlessly.

Industry observers say the deal underscores Moniepoint’s growing ambition to evolve from a pure payments processor into a comprehensive operating system for African businesses.

By embedding essential tools such as sales tracking, inventory management, and financial services, Moniepoint aims to strengthen its position in the continent’s fast-growing digital economy.

The acquisition also signals Moniepoint’s intent to cater specifically to the food and hospitality sector, one of the largest contributors to small business activity across Africa. With this expansion, the company continues its steady evolution into a full-stack ecosystem that simplifies how businesses run, transact, and grow.
