A member of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, has stepped down from his position to focus on his governorship ambition in Adamawa State.
Namdas, who represented the North-East Zone on the NDDC Board, confirmed his resignation in a statement on Monday. He said the decision was in line with his political aspiration to contest the 2027 governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former federal lawmaker expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve on the board, noting that his experience at the NDDC had broadened his understanding of regional development and governance.
Namdas, a two-term member of the House of Representatives and spokesperson of the 8th Assembly, has been a prominent political figure in Adamawa State. His declaration sets the stage for an anticipated contest in the state’s political landscape as the 2027 election draws nearer.
