Nwuche, a member of the PDP’s Board of Trustees, said the convention strengthened the party’s unity and improved its readiness to participate in the country’s democratic process.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Nwuche described the convention as orderly, peaceful, and reflective of the party’s strong commitment to democratic principles and institutional stability, saying the outcome boosts confidence in the PDP’s ability to self-organise and to exercise national leadership.

Nwuche stated, “I therefore commend the national leader of the PDP and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his efforts in keeping the party intact. The just concluded convention is reflective of the party’s strong commitment to democratic principles, internal unity, and institutional stability.”

The PDP chieftain also lauded the contributions of key party leaders and stakeholders, including former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, ex-governors, Sule Lamido, Ahmed Makarfi, and Ibrahim Dankwambo.

Others mentioned for commendation by the former Deputy Speaker include Senate Minority Leader Abba Moro, House Minority Leader Hon. Kingsley Chinda, Senator Abdul Ningi, Senator Natasha Ikpoti-Uduaghan, Emmanuel Bwacha, Zainab Kure, and former acting National Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, among others.
