The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has stepped down from her position.

She became the third cabinet member to resign following President Bola Tinubu’s directive for appointees seeking elective office in 2027 to vacate their positions.

She announced her resignation on Friday through a letter shared on her social media platforms, three days after the March 31 deadline set by the president.

Onyejeocha, however, did not disclose the elective position she intends to contest in 2027.
