The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has said members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, are unprepared for upcoming elections.

Bwala made the remarks while criticising opposition figures within the party, alleging internal disunity and lack of readiness for the electoral process.

Reacting to claims of Tinubu plotting to slide Nigeria into a one-party state, Bwala accused ADC members of importing foreign interference into Nigeria’s electoral system.

Posting on X, he wrote: “The opposition members under the umbrella of ADC know quite well that they are not ready for the election since all of them want to be president.

“They have now resorted to importing foreign interference into our elections by alleging one party state, as if the foreign governments don’t have their embassies and commissions here in Nigeria to know the lack of preparedness of the ADC.. Association of party-grabbing elements.”

This comes as a chieftain of ADC, Peter Obi had accused Tinubu of sliding Nigeria into a one-party state.

Also speaking during the ADC protest at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over the deregistration of the David Mark-led faction, Rotimi Amaechi said the APC-led government would lose in 2027 despite attempts to destroy Nigeria’s democracy.
