Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Friday night joined other well-meaning residents of the state in mourning the late Senator Barinada Mpigi, who until his death represented Rivers South-East Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

Speaking at a service of songs held at the Missionary Anglican Church, Koroma, in Tai Local Government Area, the governor described the deceased as a man who lived a fulfilled life.

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi.

Fubara said Mpigi would be remembered for his contributions, describing him as “a fighter” whose impact would endure.

Reflecting on the inevitability of death, the governor noted that “death is the ultimate end of everything,” adding that no one has control over the length of their lifespan.
