The Kano High Court on Miller Road has delivered a verdict sentencing Chinese national Frank Geng-Quangrong to death by hanging for the murder of his girlfriend in Kano back in 2022.
Presiding over the case, Justice Sanusi Ado-Ma’aji declared the accused guilty of the heinous offence and subsequently ordered his execution by hanging until his last breath.
The tragic incident unfolded when Geng-Quangrong was apprehended by law enforcement authorities and detained on charges of culpable homicide following the murder of his 22-year-old girlfriend, Ummukulsum Buhari, at her residence in Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso LGA of Kano.
The prosecution emphasized that the accused’s actions violated the provisions outlined in Section 221(b) of the Penal Code Law, underscoring the severity of the crime committed.
