Mascot Uzor Kalu (KSJI), the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in Abia State, has called on Nigerians, especially Christians, to emulate Christ’s selflessness towards mankind.

Kalu, a member of the Catholic Church noble men’s soldiers, Knights of Saint John International (KSJI), made this call in Abuja on Sunday while felicitating with Christians in Abia State and across the country during this year’s Easter celebration.

According to a press statement released by his media office and made available to MUK TV, the former Abia Chief of Staff enjoined Christians to rekindle the hopes of the hopeless, underscoring the imperative of it during Nigeria’s economic challenges.

“As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, I extend heartfelt Easter blessings to each and every one of you. In this season of hope and renewal, let us remember the profound significance of Easter and its message of redemption and eternal hope.

“Just as the selfless sacrifice of Christ on the cross brought eternal hope to mankind, let us, amidst the current challenges of Nigeria’s economy, remain steadfast beacons of hope in our communities,” the statement partly read.

The Abia-born philanthropist and politician ended his Easter message with a reawakening entreaty to believers, urging people to embrace the spirit of compassion and kindness

“Let us embody the spirit of Easter by spreading love, kindness, and compassion to those around us, especially in our little corners where our actions can make a significant difference,” he implored Christians.
