Amidst internal strife within the Kaduna State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Uba Sani has dismissed attacks from Nasir El-Rufai’s son while the party suspended its Women’s Leader, Maryam Suleiman, for criticizing the governor.
The Kaduna APC announced the suspension of Suleiman, accusing her of gross misconduct and tarnishing the governor’s reputation.
Governor Sani’s spokesperson, Alhaji Mohammed Shehu, asserted that the governor would not dignify the son of the former governor with a response to his critique.
Sani had highlighted the state’s financial challenges inherited from the previous administration, prompting criticism from Suleiman, who accused him of mismanagement.
The party cited alleged involvement of Suleiman in orchestrating an attack on the governor’s political adviser, leading to her indefinite suspension pending investigation.
Meanwhile, El-Rufai’s son, Bashir, took to social media to criticize Governor Sani, prompting the governor’s spokesperson to reaffirm the state’s financial reality and focus on governance.
