The lifeless bodies of Adebola and Abiodun Ezekiel, an elderly couple aged 80, have been discovered in their Apo home within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, as they were gruesomely murdered by unidentified attackers.
According to reports, the horrific incident happened late Monday night in the the Apo Legislative Quarters Area, leaving the community in shock and disbelief.
Reports indicate that the assailants, wielding a dagger, ruthlessly slit the throats of the wheelchair-bound man and his wife, leaving them to perish in a pool of their own blood.
A distraught resident, preferring anonymity, said, “One of the man’s sons, unable to reach his parents, sought help from a neighbor. Upon entering the locked apartment, they were met with a harrowing sight – the elderly couple’s lifeless bodies.”
FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, revealing that FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, personally inspected the crime scene.
Assuring swift action, Adeh stated, “The Commissioner of Police has directed the CID to launch an immediate, thorough investigation. Updates will be provided as soon as they become available.”
