President Bola Tinubu has extended his appreciation to Jim Obazee, former Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), for his role as the Special Investigator of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and associated entities.
Recall that Obazee was appointed to the position on July 28, 2023.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday, President Tinubu praised Obazee for his dedication and professionalism throughout the critical national assignment.
Following the completion of the investigation and the submission of a comprehensive final report, along with the cessation of all relevant operations as of March 31, 2024, the probe is officially concluded.
Law enforcement and regulatory agencies are now undertaking necessary follow-up actions.
President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Mr. Obazee for his commitment to duty and wished him success in his future endeavors.
