Amidst a crowd of onlookers, businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, stands before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court, Lagos, for his arraignment on charges of naira abuse.

Inside the courtroom, Cubana Chief Priest faces three counts related to the alleged misuse of the nation’s currency at a social gathering, a violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

The charges stem from an incident on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel, where Cubana Chief Priest is accused of indiscriminately spraying Naira notes during a dance performance.

According to reports, he is accused of tampering with N500 notes over a span of two hours, raising concerns about the integrity of the currency.

As the proceedings unfold, the public awaits further details on this high-profile case.
