Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has praised Iran’s recent actions against Israel, lauding their move as a stand against oppression and bullying.
In an interview, Fani-Kayode emphasized Iran’s decision to launch over 300 drones and missiles as a powerful message against the brutality inflicted by Benjamin Netanyahu’s government on Gaza and other Palestinian territories.
Reflecting on Iran’s retaliation to a suspected Israeli air strike on Tehran’s embassy compound in Damascus, which resulted in casualties, Fani-Kayode remarked,
“Let me talk about the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, they have made us proud as human beings as they stood up against the oppression of the Israelis and the barbarity of Netanyahu and his government.
“They have shown the world that even the oppressed and those that have been misrepresented, and those that have been slandered, and lied against, and treated with contempt, when the time is right, they too can stand up against the bullying.
He highlighted the global impact of Iran’s actions, saying, “Believe me, the strength of Iran has inspired millions all over the world, not only in Africa, not only in the Middle East, but all over the world.”
Regarding the cause of Iran’s response, Fani-Kayode condemned the impunity of attacking foreign embassies, emphasizing that Iran’s actions sent a powerful message to Israel and the world.
He commended Iran’s precision in targeting Israeli cities and air bases without causing casualties, contrasting it with Israel’s alleged atrocities, which he described as mass murder and genocide.
Fani-Kayode also addressed the role of the United States, suggesting that their warning to Israel reflected broader concerns about the situation.
Regarding Africa’s stance, he praised South Africa for taking legal action against Israel, arguing that Israel’s actions disqualify it from the right to exist due to alleged barbarity and indiscriminate killing.
