As the 2023 general elections draw near, the Abia state governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu (KSJI), has continued his unabated and widespread consultation across the board with the prominent and relevant stakeholders of the state.
Today, the APP governorship candidate and his running mate, Prof. Osondu Akuma, met with the Secretary General of the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Ambassador Okey Emuche at his Ndoki country home in Ukwa East L.G.A. of the state and members of the Brand Abia Initiative.
Chief Kalu, while informing Ambassador Emuche and his followers on the actionable programs and policies of the APP, harped on the centrality of Ukwa East to the industrialization plans of the party, describing it as the gold mine of Abia state.
The Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Secretary General, after listening to the proposed programs of the APP, confessed his admiration for the pairing of the party’s governorship candidate and his running mate, describing them as a good combination with the intellectual capacity and youthfulness to deliver.
To this end, he urged his followers not to consider the party when casting their votes but the individual, adding that Nigeria is at a crossroads and is searching for individuals with the capacity to deliver.
He further asked the APP governorship candidate not to relent in his consultation with the relevant stakeholders in Ukwa East.
