Former President Olusegun Obasanjo commends Governor Ademola Adeleke’s infrastructure initiatives in Osun State, emphasizing their potential to spur investment and foster growth during the commissioning of the Government House VIP Lodge in Osogbo.

Acknowledging the governor’s commitment to peace and development, Obasanjo urges Adeleke to remain steadfast in his efforts and prioritize the state’s developmental needs above all else.

Addressing the governor directly, Obasanjo said, “Some people once despise you that you are a dancer but I said only happy people dance, you are my dancing partner.

“What I have heard and saw three days ago that I have been here, if anyone still doubts the fact that you are working, bring the person to come and see Osun himself.

“Make sure you prioritise your developmental projects in line with the peoples’ desire, such priorities would attract investment thereby enhancing growth and development of the state.

“Our people have desire to work and invest, they need an enabling environment once you do that, there would be job opportunities for the teeming youth population in the state.”

In response, Governor Adeleke underscores the non-partisan nature of infrastructure development, highlighting the completion of projects initiated by previous administrations as a testament to effective governance.

“We are conscious of what impact projects like this make on cost of governance. In an era of clamour for reduction in cost of running government, we seek to reduce cost of hosting important personalities who are visiting the State. With this structure completed, we have achieved a major milestone in cost efficiency,” Adeleke stated, emphasizing the significance of such projects in enhancing the state’s stature and reducing operational expenses.

Through collaborative efforts and strategic leadership, Adeleke and his administration aim to propel Osun State towards sustainable development, fostering an environment conducive to growth and prosperity for all its residents.
