In a fiery video that surfaced on X.com, former Niger Delta militant Asari Dokubo has launched scathing criticism against Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, accusing him of “playing god” in the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.
Dokubo’s comments come amidst the escalating feud between Wike and his godson, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
“He is now playing god. It is dead on arrival, all those things that he is doing,” Dokubo asserted, highlighting the intensity of the power struggle gripping the state.
Dokubo also directed his anger towards President Bola Tinubu, alleging that he handed over “Rivers and Bayelsa” to Wike, further fueling the political tension.
“I advise my friend, President Bola Tinubu; what you are doing to all Ijaw, Ikwerre people in Rivers State (sic). You took Rivers state and gave it one man,” he added.
Meanwhile, Governor Fubara has announced plans to establish a panel of inquiry to delve into the state’s governance affairs.
This move comes as Fubara swears in Dagogo Iboroma as the new Attorney General of the state and Commissioner for Justice.
Fubara also criticized the recent actions of Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor, the former Attorney-General of the State, who resigned from his position and urged the new Attorney-General to defend the state’s interests.
