The Senate has officially lifted the suspension of Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, who had been suspended on March 12, 2024.

The recall was set in motion by a motion from Deputy Minority Leader Senator Abba Moro, who expressed regret on Ningi’s behalf and pledged to take full responsibility for his actions.

According to Channels Television, Moro acknowledged the seriousness of the suspension.

During his suspension, Senator Ningi’s conduct was a topic of scrutiny and debate within the legislative body.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio highlighted Ningi’s contributions, describing him as a valuable member of the Senate.

“The decision to recall Ningi transcends religious and ethnic divides,” Akpabio stated, emphasizing the senator’s resourcefulness.
