The estate, located in the Lugbe axis of the capital city, along the airport road, was flooded after a downpour in the early hours of Friday.

Residents of the estate discovered a corpse believed to be that of a man whom they saw struggling to come out of a sky-blue Peugeot 406 vehicle when the flood started.
stuck beneath the drain pathway by the entrance of the estate.

“We saw him on the top of his vehicle trying to avoid the flood, but later we did not see him again,” a motorcyclist recalled after the corpse of the man was pulled out.

Lugbe, the suburb town of the capital city of Abuja, has been experiencing a flood during every rainy season, according to the residents of the area, with many calling for the Authorities to tackle the incessant flooding.
