Amid nationwide protests against hardships and poor governance, Nigerian youths have started targeting properties owned by political leaders.
On Tuesday, videos surfaced on X showing youths burning a mansion belonging to Nazifi Sani Gumel, a serving House of Representatives member representing Gumel/Maigatari/Sule Tankarkar/Gagarawa Federal Constituency.
According to Sahara Reporters, the protesters accused Gumel of neglecting their constituency since his election 14 months ago.
In Yobe State, another group of angry youths attacked the home of a serving Senator, accusing him of siphoning public funds meant for the development of his district.
