Fiery Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, advising him against a potential transfer to Chelsea.
The founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church believes that such a move could have a detrimental effect on Osimhen’s football career.
In a recently released video, Primate Ayodele urged Osimhen to reconsider any plans to join the London-based club, arguing that a transfer to Chelsea might hinder his performance and stall his career progression.
The prophet also extended his caution to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), suggesting that they should be wary of calling Osimhen to the national team if he ends up moving to Chelsea.
“I want to quickly advise as directed that Osimhen should not go to Chelsea because if he goes there, he will not shine, and it will kill his career,” Ayodele warned.
“NFF, if Osimhen should go to Chelsea, don’t call him again, and also calling him to the Super Eagles still needs to be reviewed properly because we have what it takes to the World Cup and Nations Cup,” he added.
Chelsea, currently in search of a reliable goalscorer, has reportedly made the Napoli striker a top target following an unsuccessful bid for Atletico Madrid’s Samuel Omorodion.
Osimhen, who has garnered interest from top European clubs like Arsenal, PSG, Manchester United, and Liverpool, is being closely watched as the transfer window heats up.
