Former Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku was granted bail on Thursday in the sum of N150 million by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in connection with an alleged N27 billion fraud case, which was brought against him by the federal government.

Justice Sylvanus Oriji, who presided over the case, set the bail with two sureties in the same amount.

One of the sureties must be a Federal Government employee holding the rank of Director.

Also, both sureties must reside in the FCT, with their residential addresses verified by the court’s Registrar.

Justice Oriji also placed a travel restriction on Ishaku and his co-defendant, Bello Hero, barring them from leaving the country without the court’s permission.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), represented by counsel Rotimi Jacobs, did not oppose the bail request.
