Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President Bola Tinubu, has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, predicting significant economic improvement within the next two years of her husband’s administration.

During a visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and other traditional rulers in Ile-Ife, Osun State, she highlighted the government’s commitment to transforming the nation.

Oluremi noted that the President’s economic reforms aim to boost Nigeria’s economy to $1 trillion over the next eight years.

Key strategies include declaring a state of emergency in revenue generation and national security, reforming the central bank, and unlocking the potential of the solid minerals sector.

“We are aware that the subsidy has been removed, but with God’s help, in the next two years, Nigeria will be greater than it is today. With your prayers and support, we will build a nation ready for the future,” she said.

She assured Nigerians that both she and her husband are dedicated to the country’s progress, adding, “We give glory to God for our position. My husband and I are not greedy; we thank God for what He has done for us. We cannot disappoint Nigeria, and with God’s help, we will reach the promised land in no distant time.”

The First Lady also pointed out the administration’s focus on education and youth development.

She said the introduction of the National Students Loan Scheme, designed to ensure that all Nigerian youths have access to education regardless of financial status. “I urge all youths to take advantage of it,” she said.
