Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has supported youth empowerment and entrepreneurship by distributing over 10,000 sets of equipment to 2,000 entrepreneurs through the ARISE Entrepreneurial Equipment Support Scheme.

As part of his administration’s commitment to economic growth, Governor Eno distributed 77 minibuses and 31 saloon cars to beneficiaries.

In recognition of academic excellence, he awarded ₦10 million to Edidiong Essien, who scored 8 As in WAEC. He also awarded a full sponsorship for a master’s degree abroad to Dr. Joseph Akpan, who earned 10 distinctions at the University of Uyo.

Additionally, ₦15 million was given to five students from Akwa Ibom who won the Singapore-Bilateral International School Debate, along with ₦5 million for their teachers.

₦5 million was also presented to Otobong Philip Udoh, a female tipper truck driver breaking barriers in her field.

Governor Eno urged beneficiaries to use the support wisely, stating, “Akwa Ibom is rising, and together, we will build a stronger, self-sustaining economy.”
