Apostle Michael Orokpo, the president and founder of Encounter Jesus Ministries, has criticized gospel singers who charge exorbitant fees for their services, saying they are merely entertainers who justify their costs rather than serving God.
Speaking during a recent ministration, which has since gone viral, Orokpo lamented the rampant corruption within the Christian community, particularly among gospel singers and preachers.
“The performance they put on at the altar merely serves to justify the fees they demand. You will be shocked at the conversation they have with the pastors who invite them,” he said.
Orokpo warned that unless these ministers become diligent, fervent in spirit, and genuinely committed to serving the Lord, they risk fading into obscurity.
“This is why many of them fade away from the ministry after a few years. God has reduced their standing, and they may even be forgotten. Just look at some who are no longer active,” he added.
