President Bola Tinubu and the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, are locked in a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This comes on the heels of the Senate’s refusal to screen Festus Keyamo, a ministerial nominee from Abia State.
As reported by MUK TV, the Senate, earlier on Monday, was thrown into a rowdy session following a motion by Senator Darlington Nwokocha for the suspension of Keyamo’s screening.

He reminded the senate how Keyamo, as a former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, disrespected the red chamber by declining an invitation from the senate to explain the execution of the 1,000 jobs for each of the 774 local government areas of the country.
The motion, which was seconded by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, degenerated into a rowdy session, forcing the Senate into a closed session.
But a few minutes after the closed session, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, zoomed off to the State House.
While the reason for the meeting between Tinubu and Akpabio was not made known to the media at the time of filing this report, we gathered that the meeting is not unconnected with the refusal of the Senate to screen Keyamo.
