Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as **Davido**, has revealed that his passion for storytelling extends far beyond music, expressing his deep interest in the African film industry and plans to venture into movie-making.

In a candid chat with content creator **Darryl**, the award-winning singer disclosed that if he hadn’t achieved global fame through music, he would have built a career in film production — a dream he’s now actively pursuing.

“I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space, just more behind the scenes,” Davido shared during the interview.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner, whose influence spans the globe, said he is gearing up to make a significant impact in the movie industry by investing in several film projects this year. He credited renowned video director **Dammy Twitch** as a key collaborator in bringing some of these ideas to life.

We’ve got some series and concepts coming. I’m investing in a couple of films this year,” Davido revealed. “The film space in Africa is currently facing major financial struggles, so we’re definitely tapping into that. There’s so much potential.”

In a surprising twist, Davido also claimed he’s not just sticking to production — he’s got acting chops too.

“I can actually act. I’ve been doing it in my music videos for years — check out ‘Jowo’ or ‘Nwa Baby.’ That’s real acting,” he said with a smile.

Davido’s revelation has sparked excitement among fans and industry watchers, many of whom say his entry into Nollywood could bring a fresh wave of creativity and attention to African cinema.
