Veteran Nigerian gospel and juju music legend, Ebenezer Obey, has dismissed recent rumors circulating on social media about his death.
The 82-year-old music icon clarified that he is very much alive and well, urging fans and the public not to believe the false news being spread. In a recent statement, Obey expressed gratitude to God for life and good health, and also thanked his fans for their continued love and concern.
Accompanied with a video, he said:
“I am alive
This is not the first time false reports about his death have surfaced online, and the music veteran has often had to come forward to set the record straight. Fans and fellow artists have since taken to social media to celebrate the good news and wish him continued good health.
