Contrary to the expectations of many, the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has been appointed as the Minister of FCT by President Bola Tinubu.
Wike had been tipped for the Ministry of Niger Delta, given that he hails from the oil-rich region and played a significant role in the victory of Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.
Meanwhile, the former governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi was appointed as the Minister of Works.
