A mediapreneur and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has warned Senate President Godswill Akpabio, urging him to tread cautiously ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that nobody is indispensable to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a post shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, the Ovation publisher predicted that internal turmoil would soon engulf the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying the warning signs are already visible.
“I knew this day would soon come when katakata would burst within the ruling APC. Many of our political pundits lack a proper understanding of contemporary history.
“How could anyone think Tinubu’s STYLE would ever change after capturing Lagos State unchallenged for 26 years?”
Referencing growing speculation about a possible move to sideline Vice President Kashim Shettima, Momodu noted that this pattern of betrayal is consistent with Tinubu’s political playbook.
“What is happening to Vice President Shettima today is not new; it happened to several Deputy Governors in Lagos.
“Governor Ambode was the biggest casualty, and Governor Sanwo-Olu only narrowly escaped recently.”
The resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as APC National Chairman further adds weight to Momodu’s assertions.
He described Ganduje as a “tragic hero” whose loyalty to Tinubu has now become irrelevant.
“But sooner rather than later, more unexpected events will unfold.”
On Abdullahi Ganduje, he’s a tragic hero who took bullets for Tinubu. But, like all lackeys, his usefulness has expired. My friend Akpabio should beware,” he warned.
Momodu made it know that Tinubu holds absolute control over the current political structure and warned other politicians not to overestimate their relevance.
“This current power structure is absolutely for Tinubu. No one should deceive themselves—no one is indispensable, and everyone is expendable when it becomes necessary.
“The PRINCE does not entertain competition. This is the season of Machiavelli. More victims will fall on the battlefield. No one is sacred,” he added.
