Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has defended the controversial ₦39 billion renovation of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, insisting that the investment is already yielding dividends.
Speaking during a media chat in Abuja, Wike revealed that the newly refurbished Centre has generated a staggering ₦650 million in just three weeks—compared to the mere ₦50 million it used to pull in annually before the facelift.
He argued that the massive spike in revenue invalidates criticisms over the cost of the project, describing them as baseless and politically motivated.
