A suspected internet fraudster, otherwise known as ‘Yahoo Boy,’ Precious Mayor, with three other accomplices; Prince Afam, Israel Simon, and Emmanuela Mayor(Simon’s wife), have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for alleged hostage-taking at Igbogbo in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The victims were said to have traveled from Imo State to receive instruction in cyber fraud from the Mayor.
However, when they failed to meet their targets just a few days into their apprenticeship, the mayor reportedly confined them to a room and subjected them to physical harm.
According to PUNCH, Lagos Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident.
He said: “The victims were tortured and deprived of their freedom. The arrested suspects have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
