A political affairs analyst, Jerry Chukwueke, has said that the support group of former Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, popularly known as ‘Obidients’, actually don’t follow parties but individuals.
Chukwueke made this statement on Friday while responding to questions in an interview on ‘The Morning Brief’, a programme on Channels Television monitored by #Muktv.
He was speaking about what Nigerians expect from the new chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Joash Amupitan.
#Muktv reports that the Senate on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Prof Amupitan as the substantial chairman of the Nigeria’s electoral body.
Obedients actually don’t follow parties, they follow individuals. It’s about where they perceive a performer is in place to deliver transformation,” he said.
